What is an Issue default value?

An Issue default value defines the selection of the Customer, Project and Task for a single Issue in a Jira Project. This will save you time when logging working hours and prevent users from logging time for the wrong customer, project or task.

FFor example, if you have an issue that is associated with only one customer, and you record most of your time on one project and one task for that customer, you can set those values here. Then, when you open an issue in this project, the values are pre-filled and you only need to enter the description and time you want to log.

An Issue default value will overwrite a project default value, if one is set.

How to set an Issue default value

1	Open the detail view of an Issue e.g. by clicking on the Issue Card in a Kanban Board.
2	Click on the button “MOCO Configuration” on the right side.
3	By selecting customer, project and task, you define for which task the time recorded in Jira should be logged in MOCO. Set the toggle to checked like in the screenshot Select a Customer Is a required field Has to be selected before you can select Project and Task Select a Project Is an optional field has to be selected before you can select a Task Select a Task Is an optional field Click on “Save” to set the issue default value for the current Issue If a default value was already set for the Issue and you did not save your new selection, you can revert to the default value that is currently saved for that Issue.

How to remove a single Issue default value

If you no longer want a default value for the Issue, you can remove it with the following steps:

1	Open the detail view of an Issue e.g. by clicking on the Issue Card in a Kanban Board.
2	Click on the button “MOCO Configuration” on the right side.
3	If you no longer want to have a default value for the Project, click on the delete icon in the field. If you no longer want to have a default value for the Task, click on the delete icon in the field. Click on “Save”.

How to remove all Issue default values

If you no longer want the default values for the Issue, you can remove them with the following steps:

2	Click on the button “MOCO Configuration” on the right side.
3	Set the toggle to unchecked like in the screenshot Click on “Save”
